I can be strict, and there are certainly those (like the students that give me all 1's) that really hate me, but I do care a lot about whether you learn the material, and I don't assign meaningless work. It is very rare for me to refuse to help someone, even if it means coming in at odd hours and spending a lot of time on things. If you fail, it is your fault.
