I received Ph.D. in Computer Science (2013) from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, Riverside, under the supervision of Dr. Rajiv Gupta. I was also a member of the RIPLE and CARES research groups. Before joining UCR, I received my M.S. degree in Applied Mathematics (2008) from the School of Mathematical Sciences at Peking University in Beijing, P.R. China, and my B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics (2005) from the School of Mathematical Sciences at Xiamen University in Xiamen, P.R. China.
My interests focus on parallel systems, spanning the range from tightly coupled multiprocessors to distributed systems. I am interested in the interaction between computing, networking and storage in optimizing computer systems. I like overcoming system performance and reliability challenges, by exploring the entire stack from programming languages, compilers, system software, down to microarchitecture.
