PhD Candidate, Computer Science, UC Riverside
My name is Yiqun Cao (曹轶群 in simplified Chinese characters), and people often call me Eddie. I am a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the University of California, Riverside. My research is mainly in the areas of algorithm, cheminformatics and bioinformatics. I admire (and take pride in contributing to) those game-changing works that have a big impact on people's lives, especially those about designing novel algorithms and building efficient, scalable, and user-friendly large-scale computing systems.

(Yes, I remembered to obfuscate it.)
Before coming to Riverside, I spent two years in National University of Singapore, right after I got my bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
Instead of learning about my research and publications through this website, you may check out a short resume in PDF format or the one in plain text format.
I was born in a rural area of a city in the southeast part of China. Coincidently, the city is twinned with Calabasas city in the Los Angeles county, 86 miles from Riverside.
Though I am not a designer, but I really like to play with new features in CSS (and to give a hard time to some rendering engines). You might need to use a modern web browser to see the web pages as what they are supposed to look like.
Though I've put quite some effort into this web site, it is still far from being comprehensive. Please feel free to contact me to discuss anything that you find interesting.
