Oct-22-2005: Will do a PPI network analysis by mapping homologs of interesting proteins onto the yeast and fruit fly nets, and observing the properties of the mapped proteins and their neighborhoods.
Oct-24-2005: Dowloaded latest versions of PPI networks for D. melanogaster, S. cerevisiae, E. coli, C. elegans, H. pylori, H. sapiens and M. musculus from DIP, along with the corresponding amino acid sequences in FASTA format.
Nov-1-2005: Coded Ruby scripts that extract network-specific sequences from the FASTA file of all sequences in DIP, and run BLAST's formatdb to create the databases for BLAST searches.
Nov-7-2005: Added functionality to build Graph Boost Lib graphs based on DIP specifications.
