I am currently with Microsoft Research, Cambridge. My updated page is here.
I received my Ph.D at the Computer Science department
of the University of California, Riverside under the supervision
of Associate Professor Michalis Faloutsos.
Dissertation title: '' Novel Techniques and Models for Network Traffic Profiling: Characterizing the Unknown ''.
From September 2006, I will join Microsoft Research at Cambridge as
an Associate Researcher.
During the summer of 2006, I visited the Foundation for Research and Technology, Hellas
working with Maria Papadopouli.
I spent the summer of 2003 at CAIDA
developing methodologies to identify and measure peer-to-peer file-sharing traffic at the Internet core.
From July 2004 to May 2005 and from October 2005 to April 2006, I was an intern at
Intel Research in Cambridge, UK working with
Dina Papagiannaki on Internet traffic classification, P2P networks and anomaly detection.
From June 2005 to September 2005, I was with
Microsoft Research at Cambridge working with Milan Vojnovic,
Pablo Rodriguez
and Christos Gkantsidis on understanding the properties of Microsoft's patching service
with a goal to design a system for rapid patch propagation.
I received my B.S. at the department of
Applied Informatics of
the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece.
