Interests

TV Shows:
These are some of the TV Shows I enjoy. Be careful, they're extremely addicting.

Scrubs
Easily the funniest show. Bar none. Story is about a bunch of doctors. Follows their day, hilarity ensues at every corner.

Doctor Who 2005
Continuation of the very long running British series. This series details the adventures of the 9th Doctor, set in the present 2005-era. The comedy is very British, each episode contributes to the overall story arc, but you don't have to watch it from the beginning to enjoy it.

Numb3rs
A math professor at Cal-Sci uses math to fight crime and solve cases along with his FBI brother. Yes, Math. Though it sounds quite dry and boring, the show is quite good and the cases interesting.

Greys Anatomy
Between the hilarity of Scrubs and the drama of ER lies Grey's Anatomy Like Scrubs, it follows the lives of 4 medical interns. Greya Anatomy has more drama and sadness than Scrubs but still has it's funny moments.

Las Vegas
This show follows the adventures of the crew of the Montecito Resort. More of an comedy/action/adventure show, Las Vegas has everything and the bag of chips. Starring: Nikki Cox

House MD
Yet another medical show. It is all about Gregory House, a brilliant yet completely cynical diagnostician. He is completely unsocial, condescending, and otherwise mean. He also knows exactly what he's about, and is the best diagnostician at the hospital. Great if you just feel like seeing someone do great things.

Systm
From some of the stars of The Screen Savers on TechTV, is Systm. It is only available online and is a 15-20 minute program on interesting tech projects. The stars cover the topic in suprising depth. Some example projects were an x10 camera feed interceptor and a mythTV linux TiVo replacement.

Tilt
Poker craze in full force. A drama from ESPN about Poker. Main character is Eddie Towne, an up and coming poker player thats been swindled by the veteran poker champ Don "Matador" Everest. See how Eddie retaliates.

Anime:
Yes I watch some anime. Here are a few of the better one's I've got around to watching.

One Piece
Follows the Adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his band of "Straw Hat" pirates. Luffy ate the Rubber Devil Fruit, which endows him with the ability to stretch (much like Mr. Fantastic on the Fantastic Four). There are many types of Devil Fruit, which give different abilities. Some of his crew include: a renegade swordsman, a tae kwon do cook, and a doctor reindeer (yes a doctor that IS a reindeer).

Hobbies:
These are interests I have, outside of the general CS/Computing area.

West Coast Tae Kwon Do
Studied Tae Kwon Do at West Coast Tae Kwon Do for 4 years, Berryessa School. Instructor for 1.5 years. 1996-2000

Poker Pages
Just about everyone has been hit with the poker craze. I started playing Texas Hold'em in fall of '04. This is my preferred online poker service. The reason I chose this particular client is because they support OSX.

Team Mac OSX
This is the team that I fold for. Folding@home is a distributed computing program that models the procedure of proteins folding. If proteins fold wrong, then you get protein deceases, such as Mad Cow and Alztheimers. The goal of this project is to model folding and see how these abnormalities can occur.
