About Me

I am a 3rd year undergraduate student attending the University of California, Riverside.

Technical Skills

C++

Intermediate

Main programming language. I have used it for everything from writing algorithms/data structures to making POSIX system calls. It is also my language for programming competitions

Embedded C

Intermediate

I can program AVR microcontrollers standalone or with the Arduino platform. Arduino is generally used for rapid prototyping till I make it permanent with raw AVR programming.

Javascript

Beginner

I have used it to work with the Node.js platform, and for creating simple animations for web pages.

Node.js

Beginner

I have used it to run simple scripts and in conjuction with the Express framework, deployed simple web apps.

Organization

ACM

2011-2013

(Association for Computing Machinery)

Active member for 2 years. Regularly help other students with programming questions and participate in events.

Projects

Multiplayer drawing game

September 2013

Real time HTML 5 canvas drawing. Used Paper.js to power drawings, Socket.io for updating page with user activity, and Node.js in combination with Express framework to create a server which held the whole app together. Project was tested using Amazon EC2 and heroku.

Tetris

June 2013

Game was implemented using an ATMega 32 chip, 8x8 led matrices, buttons, and an assortment of other components. Whole project was written in embedded C using a finite state machine model. The project can be seen in action here

'FTP' program

May 2013

Project consisted of both a client and server program written in C++ using C POSIX system calls. Client was able to request a directory of files from server and the server in turn responded with the requested files. The server was implemented as a concurrent server meaning it could handle multiple clients at once.
