MIPS Cross-compilers

If you are not using an instructional machine, you will need to:

  1. download the necessary cross-compiler below, and
  2. set the ARCHDIR environment variable to point at the cross-compiler directory, and
  3. prepend the PATH environment variable to point at the cross-compiler directory.

Please note: This page has been posted for your convenience. We have tested the linux version and it seemed to work fine. However, use these cross compilers at your own risk. The only supported method is to use the cross-compilers made available to you on the CS instructional machines.

x86.linux (new, 7MB)
x86.freebsd (new, 7MB)
x86.win32 (old, 7MB)
ppc.macosx* (new, 13MB)

*This is for PowerPC architecture Macs, not newer Intel x86 Macs.
