The ACM Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (CIKM) took place this year in McLean VA, on the 4-9 November 2002. The conference sessions were held at the SAIC campus. McLean is actually only an hour from Washington D.C so I had the chance to do some sightseeing in the Terrific D.C area. Places I visited include :Smithsonian Institution, Washington Monument the White House. I also saw some other places from the shuttle like the Georgetown area, the Pentagon and the Baltimore area. :)
