Setting Correct Permissions

The following procedure cannot be done in the windows environment.
In Linux environment do the following:

Right-Click on the file whose permissions you want to change, and select "Properties"

In the "Properties" Window, Click on the "Permissions" Tab

Set the Permissions according to what kind of file it is.
